The one-line version
Your video never leaves your computer. RevisionSplicer processes all of your media locally. We cannot see your footage, projects, file names, or your clients’ names — we built it so we never receive them.
1. Processed locally, never sent
All video, audio, project files, sequences, titles and media are read and written only on your machine. None of it is uploaded. There is no cloud rendering and no media upload, by design.
2. What we collect
Crash reports — on by default, scrubbed before they leave your machine
Before anything is sent, it is scrubbed on your machine to remove identifying detail. A crash report may contain the exception type, message and stack trace (after scrubbing removes file paths and names), the app/Premiere/Windows version, and a random anonymous install ID. It never contains any file path, file name, project/sequence/clip name, media, your email, or your licence key. You can turn crash reports off.
Usage statistics — opt-in only
If you opt in, the Software may send anonymous figures (timeline length, frame count, frame rate, resolution; percentage re-rendered; run duration). Never any path, name, or media. Off until you turn it on.
Licensing
To activate and verify your licence we send, over HTTPS, your licence key and a salted hash of a machine identifier (to count activation slots) — we do not store the raw identifier. A signed licence file is cached locally so the Software works offline.

We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising.
4. Your rights
Under laws such as GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA/CPRA you may access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. Because we hold so little — and no media — most requests are simple. Email support@poffpromedia.com; for billing data you can also use the Lemon Squeezy customer portal.
5. Security
HTTPS everywhere, secrets kept out of our code, and the local helper bound to your machine only (loopback). Our smallest-possible data footprint is the main protection: we cannot lose what we never collect.
6. Children
RevisionSplicer is a professional tool, not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
